GM Monthly Update | October 2026
Dear OSL Owners & Residents:
Welcome to a new month of extraordinary living at San Francisco’s premier waterfront.
What a month of splendor we cherished together as a community in September. It was a fantastic start to the month with the hosting of the First Friday series. We love its return – and the evening fellowship together on the terrace with the twinkle of the bridge as our backdrop. There was a clear crowd favorite from the Bordeaux wines on pour, so we will make note of the Spring Mountain Elivette 2016 for future happenings. We will also note the event format itself, as Prospect did an amazing job with the cook-to-order grilling experience. We appreciate the opportunity to host attendees for our yoga events presented the same. They remain an important part of our culture in promoting waterfront living – and we love that they kickstart your Saturday mornings in such a meaningful way.
To the milestone of our 5-year anniversary, you showed up, and we cannot be more thankful for your attendance to make it a special day of celebration. The “Nod to Burning Man” theme was so much fun, as well as the décor and DJ Sid, who set the vibe with his DJ skills throughout the event. It was a delight to also spotlight the “OGs” of the building who were in attendance, as they were trailblazers in making One Steuart Lane their home during a time that was seen for the first time by some, as they expressed during the celebration.
In duty and service, we facilitated a medley of building maintenance events from our car elevator maintenance to the inspection of the fire extinguishers at private homes as well as the building common areas. These efforts ensure our best position by keeping vital resources maintained. We also appreciate your staying with us as we made progress through late September with the automated door project.
September presented mixed emotions for me and my team members, as well as yourselves. As shared in a communication last month, Ms. Brenda Dos Santos transitioned to part-time employment with us (through the end of the year) as she begins a new chapter in 2027, working alongside her daughter in the tech world. We appreciate that we hold the remaining months as we continue offering scheduled social & lifestyle events for your continued enjoyment.
As we journey into October, we invite you to take part in the upcoming social & lifestyle events:
Friday, October 2nd at 6:00 p.m. – Please join us for the next First Friday’s series as Mr. Frank Jakubka will be at the helm, guiding us through a selection of rums and sharing his expert knowledge, stories, and tasting tips.
Saturday, October 10th at 10:00 a.m. – We are thrilled to also have StretchLab back to the waterfront to co-host this wellness offering for your living enjoyment.
Friday, October 16th at 6:00 p.m. – You’re invited to an evening at Saint Laurent where fashion, style, and discovery for the fall season will be in the spotlight. Kelly Sparks, their featured stylist, will be available to assist with questions, styling needs, or personal wardrobe inspiration the same. We are also happy to invite members of the 181 Fremont community to join us in this event, so please look to meet fellow neighbors from other Action-managed properties.
Saturday, October 24th at 10:00 a.m. – We will host the second StretchLab event for the month.
Saturday, October 31st at 12:00 p.m. – You are invited down to the amenity floor for a spook-tacular Halloween Matcha Witches Brew Event with Kash Cafe. It will “Brew” a good potion for the holiday afternoon.
To position us properly, please RSVP to Brenda to advise of the social & lifestyle events your schedule will allow you to enjoy with fellow neighbors.
Please also take note of the following happenings within the building for the month:
Friday, October 9th at 6:00 p.m. – Scheduled private event at the dining room/club room area. Other amenity spaces remain available for use.
Tuesday, October 13th at 6:00 p.m. – The OSL team will step away for an evening of fellowship and laughter. During this time, we will have familiar support team members in service.
Wednesday, October 14th at 11:00 a.m. – Owners Only. We will host our open board meeting to review the 2027 operating budget, current financial standing, the results from our 2026 survey and action planning, as well as new guidelines and policies for adoption consideration. We will also review unit alteration applications and make a request to the board to purchase a current coffee machine.
Tuesday, October 27th at 6:00 p.m. – Scheduled private event at the dining room/club room area. Other amenity spaces remain available for use
As we continue through the new month, we look forward to carefully reviewing the survey results provided through SurveyMonkey as well as the Action Property Management polling that was also conducted to celebrate the many expressions you provided (Thank YOU!) and to develop a call to action on opportunities available for us to focus on as the journey continues.
Lastly, we invite you to also join us as we celebrate the momentous occasions of team members who will be celebrating birthdays and work anniversaries this month: Birthdays – Ms. Brenda Dos Santos (October 6th), Ms. Annette Alvarado (October 12th), Ms. Guadalupe (October 20th), and Mr. Pipo Belena (October 20th); Service Anniversaries – Mr. Axel Tapia (October 2nd – 3 years). Please join us in recognizing these special times in team members’ lives.
