GM Monthly Update | July 2026
Posted By Manager on July 20, 2021
Dear OSL Owners & Residents:
Welcome to the new month as we cherish the summer vibes here at San Francisco’s premier waterfront.
The month of June presented a medley of events and celebrated moments. Despite being unable to host the annual Rosé event for your enjoyment, we are still thankful for creating a sense of gathering at our wellness event held in late June for those able to take part. We are also overjoyed by the appreciation shared from the Father’s Day gestures that were curated for our fellas to enjoy on their day – and the everyday following. We had to make sure the ladies weren’t the only ones pampered from head to toe in some form of comfort and indulgence. As it relates to our continued focus on service and maintenance, we are thankful for the capacity to support the completion of the second window washing for the building. For those who opted in for balcony and terrace cleaning, the same expression to you for allowing us to make life easy for you with this service, so that you can focus attention elsewhere. On behalf of the Association, we also express gratitude for the visit to the homes with balconies and terraces. This state requires such facilitation in the wake of tragic events here in California, and I am comforted to know the review of these structures was found to be in good order. For those interested in more details pertaining to this recurring maintenance visit ahead, please click here for access to such information on the California Association of Homeowners website.
To the members of the Association, we held a productive meeting on June 11th to discuss various topics that pertain to the duties and interests of the Association. Such topics pertained to the appointment of Ms. Jamie Pena to the board of directors as a developer representative, as well as review and approval of three (3) unit alteration applications that were submitted. The board also carefully discussed community enhancement considerations and gave approval to the completion of the automated doors project for the motor court vestibule, continued evaluation of fire pits for the outdoor terrace, and the furthering of the art replacement proceedings under the orchestration of the appointed art committee. We are thankful for the members who were in attendance during this time – and certainly have minutes available via SnapHOA for those unable to make it and who wish to review for more details on these discussed topics.
I would be remiss not to acknowledge that June presented hurdles for us to work through for the interests of the community. We thank you for the time while we worked to oversee the maintenance and restoration of the Miele machine in the clubroom/dining room area. It is moments like this that we realize the value of this amenity and thank you for your grace as we looked to keep continuity of this service through the Nespresso service. Lastly, we cannot close out the highlights of June without acknowledging the service of Ms. Ivey Garcia through the nearly two (2) years here at One Steuart Lane. As one of her leaders, I am happy for the big decision she had to make for her interests and for giving time and use of her talents to support your living enjoyment during this period of time
Now, as we embark on the mid-summer month ahead, we invite you to gather with neighbors (at your leisure) to enjoy the bright, clear skies this upcoming Fourth of July holiday. Our wellness series will continue with the offer of Mat Pilates classes for those able to take part. The dates will be July 11th and 25th, both at 10:00 a.m., at the Wellness Center. On July 18th, you’re invited to join us as we co-host “Boozy Ice Cream & Pie Day” at the outdoor terrace with Monkeybrains, one of the building’s available internet service providers. We will have delectable ice creams, pie selections from Three Babes Bakeshop, and of course bubbles to top off the sweet treat for the afternoon’s indulgence with fellow neighbors.
For our Owners: notice that the board of directors will meet on July 9th at 10:00 a.m. Pacific for a closed meeting of the board only. Per usual, please expect the meeting notice with the agenda via email and posted in the lobby area.
As a continued reminder, the Howard streetscape project continues with excavation activity alongside the building via Howard Street. For more information on the project, please visit the project site here.
Starting July 10th, please also be advised that Ms. Gina Leon Peters will be away for an extended holiday overseas. Her return will be August 6th. During this time, please see me for any Association matters, Brenda for any reservation needs for the loading dock and/or service elevator, and the front desk for any residential service needs.
Beginning the week of July 13th, we are thrilled to welcome Ms. Annette Alvarado to the OSL team. She will serve in the role of director of operations – overseeing the front desk, valet, and housekeeping areas. Her shift will be midday, from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and will be housed in the director’s office next to the front desk. Please look for her organizational announcement soon following her arrival and time to certainly engage with her in the lobby and through other opportunities.
The new month does not come without the opportunity to recognize team members with special occasions ahead. For birthdays: James Gordon (July 10th), David Young (July 15th), and Megan Rogers (July 23rd). For anniversaries: Dave Kracke (July 2nd – 2 Years), Christian Varela (July 6th – 4 Years), and Austin Chan (July 9th – 1 Year). As you may see these team members in/around their special moments, please join us in recognizing them for their notable moment in life and chapter here at One Steuart Lane.
With appreciation for the privilege to support your living enjoyment at every opportunity. Wishing you a very safe and magical start to the summer period ahead.
Warmest regards,
James Gordon, CMCA, AMS
