GM Monthly Update | January 2026
Dear OSL Owners & Residents:
Welcome to 2026 – an exciting new chapter ahead here at San Francisco’s premier waterfront.
What a magical holiday season we were able to cherish together as a community. It was a fragrant start
to December as we partnered with Joe Malone to highlight their festive collection for attendees to
sample for personal enjoyment – and for gifting selections for special loved ones during the season. Our
Brenda was in full swing throughout the month as your lifestyle helper in the wrapping of holiday gifts –
and as your host to the offering of hot chocolate she handcrafted for you and visiting guests on several
Saturdays throughout the month. We cannot be any more overjoyed by the presence of all who made it
for the 5th annual resident holiday party. As we challenge ourselves to think creatively on various themes
(vibes) that allow us to host you with careful intention, we are so incredibly happy to know the Cirque
Noel theme didn’t disappoint. The marvel you expressed – from the draped canopy of the clubroom
to the F&B offerings, the illusion that came from celebrated magician Kevin Blake, and the opportunity to
simply celebrate the holidays with fellow neighbors – all encapsulated our desires and truly brought
smiles to our faces. To have the opportunity to spread Christmas Cheer! with you on the holiday was
an added pleasure – so thank you for allowing Megan to be your host. We also hope the gesture for those in-house to enjoy on New Year’s Eve spirited your night of celebration as the clock struck midnight.
In our best service to the interests of the Association, the final month of 2025, we are thankful for the
productive board meeting held on December 11th. This meeting provided an opportunity for the Board to carefully review scheduled agenda items – of which included the formation of an art committee, of which will be represented by Ms. Dianne Estrin, Ms. Sarah Armstrong, and Mr. James Park. The adoption of the unit alteration review guidelines was also successfully conducted, along with the appointment of Mr. Steven Rice as the second homeowner representation on the Board of Directors. For those unable to
make the meeting, please visit SnapHOA to see the draft minutes, so you are most informed as Members.
Lastly, and notably, December allowed us to recognize those on the team who were recognizing birthdays
& anniversaries. We also distributed our annual communication, which provided a reflection on all that
we cherished and conducted together as a community in 2025. The communication also provided a
vision to known focus items for 2026 – that we will keep as a priority to evaluate further on your behalf
with the direction of the Board of Directors.
As we journey into 2026, please allow me to express my appreciation to you for taking part in the recent holiday gift program to recognize the hourly team members who serve ably here in 2025 to support your
everyday living needs. While not of requirement, your wish to participate and extend a tangible token
means and says a lot – and will never be taken for granted. We are concluding the gifts from those who
provided during the second round, so they can be received during the next pay period.
In service focus, we will be preparing to decommission the holiday decorations on January 5. We ask that
you please anticipate such activities in progress as you travel through the common areas. As part of living
enjoyment offerings, we invite you to take part in the upcoming LuxFit wellness offerings to be hosted on
January 10th & 24th. Please anticipate more details from Brenda, as your lifestyle specialist. For our
Owners, as another gentle reminder, the deadline for submitting your interests to serve on the Board is
Monday, January 5th by 5:00 p.m. Please refer to the email that was sent to you for particulars on how to
properly submit online to the hired inspector of elections.
This new month, we look forward to recognizing the following team members who will be celebrating
work anniversaries: Madi Landaverde (1/8) – 2 years. We also have the following team members with
birthdays: Mike Perez (1/11). As you may see them, please join us by recognizing these special moments.
Lastly, for notice, Mike will be out on parental leave through late February. We are also thrilled to
welcome Mr. Wilson Chau back to the valet team. For those familiar, Wilson served here at One Steuart
Lane as valet supervisor from the opening of the building – until March 2024. He is returning this new
chapter as a support to the overnight operations – as your valet attendant a few weekday nights. As you
may see, Wilson, starting mid-January, please also join us in welcoming him back to the waterfront.
Happy New Year to each of you! We look forward to another extraordinary year together.
Warmest regards,
James Gordon, CMCA, AMS
General Manager
